Exclamation I have learned that when you first start out with your new castle, and have given it a good name, it starts the long process of upgrading and recruiting (building) men to attack and defend. The very first things you need to concentrate on is building and upgrading at a non-stop pace is your storage, food, wood and stone supply. Another important to upgrade as soon as you can is your Keep, the barracks, stone mason and sawmill. Add a bakery and a windmill soon after.

In the meantime between all of that, you will want to throw in at least 2 or 3 guardhouses in the beginning, then start adding more when you can and after those 2 or 3 are fully upgraded to brick buildings. You will want at the very least: 6 or 7 guardhouses, upwards toward 10 or more, as you level up.

Perhaps one or two dwellings (or townhouses if you have rubies) but population is mainly for taxes from them so you can purchase with coin, your troops. Your people do not eat the food supply. Only your troops do.

Seige and Defense buildings help you build the tools you will need for protection of your castle and Outposts (OP's). They also allow you to build tools for your attacks on other castles. Try to keep them going as well. Upgrade these buildings when you can to get better tools as you level up.

Always remember to add decorations as you go. You need decorations to make everything run faster in the castle, just like your Keep does when you upgrade it. Constantly build men for attack and defense in your main castle and your OP's.

Remember to click on the people walking around your main and OP's that have bubbles above their heads with stone, wood or coin. It adds up for you! Remember too, that after you join Pale Riders, the first 24 hours you cannot donate anything to the alliance fund. After the 24 hours, it is required for all members to give something to the alliance fund. Most beginners start out by giving 100 coins, or 100 wood or 100 stone.. sometimes less.. but it adds up and shows you are doing your part. We all understand in the beginning it is hard to give with so much to level up. We as a team of Pale Riders will send you resources to help you build your castles and OP's strong. You will have something to give back to the alliance with what is sent to you if necessary.

cheers

We also cannot forget that we need to have resources on hand to build taverns for your spies, and for the Encampment for your commanders and resources for your estate, for your castellans!

These too, will eventually need upgraded.

affraid Lots and Lots of resources are needed.
